There’s still time to apply for the Emotional Wellbeing Fund!

CASS 250 px 275 border logoThere's still time to apply for the Emotional Wellbeing Fund, a project launched to help the city's voluntary, community, equalities and faith groups to run activities aimed at improving the wellbeing of children and their families. The fund has been launched in response to findings that one in ten children aged between five and 16 years in the UK has a mental health problem.

Groups can apply for grants of up to £1,000 per activity aimed at children of primary school age and their families. The fund is managed by Bristol Mental Health's Community Access Support Service (CASS).

The next deadline for applications for the fund is 10 March. There will be further deadlines on 10 May and on 10 July (dependent on funding). All activities must be completed by 31 July 2017.

Several organisations in Bristol have already applied for grants. One organisation held a storytelling session for children, while another held a Christmas craft activity where young people visited a sheltered living facility to make decorations with the residents.

Information about how to apply for the fund is available on CASS's website.
