Bristol Mental Health appoints new Personality Disorder Clinical Lead
Bristol Mental Health (BMH) has appointed a new Personality
Disorder Clinical Lead to improve the experience of people with
personality disorders using services in Bristol.
Louise Johnson began the role this month on a year's secondment
and will be leading the development of a stepped care pathway
across BMH for individuals who experience difficulties associated
with personality disorder. This pathway involves people typically
being provided the least intensive intervention first and
supporting them to step up or down the pathway according to their
changing needs and in response to their treatment.
In her new role Louise will also be looking at how services can
improve access, care pathways and support for people with
personality disorders as well as supporting and enabling those
working with this client group.
"I am very excited to join Bristol Mental Health in this new
venture," says Louise.
Louise has significant experience working in mental health and
with individuals with personality disorders, having worked for Avon
and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust for 14 years and
the Trust's Pathfinder
Service for five years of this.
