Further dates for ‘Conversation Cafes’

Espresso cupFurther dates for BMH's popular 'Conversation Cafes' pilot have been set, giving service users more opportunities to take part. The cafes have been developed as a space for service users to socialise with one another in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The first cafe was held in Bristol in early November and the following dates have been set for future events:

• 12pm-2pm, Friday 2 December 2016, The Arts House, 108A Stokes Croft, Bristol
• 12pm-2pm, Friday 6 January 2017, The Arts House
• Friday 3 February 2017, time and place TBC

The idea for the cafes was developed by Bev Woolmer, Service User Involvement Co-Ordinator at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, alongside Lynne Newbury, Strategic Lead for Service Users and Carers at Bristol Mental Health, in response to service user feedback.

"The first Conversation Cafe was successful and a great opportunity for people to meet socially. We'd like to invite more people to come along!" says Bev.
