Faces of BMH: Jim Michael

Faces of BMH: Jim Michael

Job title: Analytics Manager, Otsuka Healthcare Solutions

1) What does your job involve?
I work in analytics on the Joining the Dots (JtD) project - using data to provide insight into the use of services. JtD is a project involving BMH, service users and carers and Otsuka Health Solutions that was launched to support the delivery of recovery focused care within Bristol services.

2) What do you enjoy best about your role?
I enjoy the ever-changing requirements of my role - I get to work with lots of different parts of the service to understand how everything fits together and my work changes according to the needs of the different parts of BMH.

3) Describe how you're feeling today in three words.
Motivated, energetic and focussed.

4) What do you do to keep mentally healthy?
I like to run, play football, go to the cinema and catch up with friends.

5) What do you like best about Bristol?
It's a very friendly city! I meet lovely, open-minded people every day. I like the prevalence of local businesses and the focus of being an environmentally friendly city.

6) What would you recommend that people try in the city?
Go out and enjoy the views from vantage points like The Downs, Clifton Observatory and Brandon Hill. Go for a walk/run in the woods between Shirehampton and Blaise Castle or along the tow path between Bristol and Pill.
