ACE’s women’s group grows

Drinking teaThe Assertive Contact and Engagement service's (ACE'S)  women's emotional health and wellbeing group has grown significantly since it launched in May. ACE 'Women's Morning' is a female-only space whose membership now runs into double figures, having started with just four attendees.

Engagement workers and volunteers support women to socialise with one another and improve their wellbeing in a safe space. The group offers one-to-one support, as well as a variety of activities to aid relaxation and boost wellbeing. So far, members have enjoyed a session on mindfulness, pampering time and decorated their own mugs to use each time they attend the group.

Liz Day, Deputy Manager at ACE, says: "It's a really warm, welcoming space for women to get to know each other."

The group meets every Friday morning at Faithspace, Prewett Street in Redcliffe. Women's Morning is an open access group that women do not need to book onto and can just turn up to. For more information please call the ACE line on 0117 239 8969 (Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm).
