Mental health services available in Bristol this Christmas

Here are the details of some of the mental health services and resources that are available in Bristol over the Christmas period.

Off the Record will offer a limited service. St Michaels Hill will be closed on the following days:

  • Thursday December the 24th (Christmas Eve)
  • Friday December the 25th (Bank Holiday)
  • Saturday December the 26th (Bank Holiday)
  • Thursday December the 31st (New Years Eve)
  • Friday January the 1st (Bank Holiday)
  • Saturday January 2nd

In the week between Christmas and New Year, St Mikes will be open for IAPT/CYP-IAPT appointments and drop-ins only on Tuesday the 29th and Wednesday the 30th December.

The Station - will be running its last session on Saturday 19th December and will reopen on 4th January.

Bristol Mindline on 0808 808 0330 is open Wednesday to Sunday 8pm to midnight as usual , this includes Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

National Mindline on 03001233393 is open Christmas Eve between 9am and 4pm, closed Christmas Day, closed Monday 28th December, open New Years' Eve 9am - 4pm, and closed on New Years day.

Samaritans on 0845 90 90 90 will be open throughout.

Bristol Crisis service on 0300 555 0334 will be open throughout.

The Bristol Sanctuary 0117 9542952- 16+ Open 7pm to 2am: Friday Christmas Day, Saturday Boxing Day, Sunday 27th Monday 28th. Then the following weekend Friday 1st New Year's Day, to Monday 4th.

Caring in Bristol (help for the homeless) can be reached on 01179244444 and have a 60-bed hostel (18 years plus) open 3pm on 23rd December until 10am 2nd Jan.

Caring in Bristol also has emergency housing for 16-25 year-old's called Bristol Nightstop which can be contacted on 07979878814. It is closed on 24th and 25th December and will be open after this.

Partnership Outreach Team (0117 925 1046) provides inpatient support for under 18s with an outreach component. It does not take direct referrals but works with young people presenting to Accident and Emergency.

Womankind 0845458 2914 will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Mon 28th December, New Years' Eve and New Years Day.

Childline on 08001111 will be open throughout.

Bipolar UK on 02079316480 will be closed from Christmas day until 4th January.

1625 Independent People will be open as usual 9-5pm weekdays with the exception of closing early on 3.30pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. It will be closed Christmas Day, Mon 28th December and New Years Day.
